Introduction
FrenschPress is a MIDI- and network-capable controller designed for professional theatre and event technology. The name is derived from its developer, Konrad Frensch, and has nothing to do with a coffee machine—which is spelled with “CH.” It’s simply a play on words. That said, we do enjoy coffee very much.
It features three mechanical buttons and one rotary encoder, all of which are fully programmable. The FrenschPress can operate in three different modes (see operating modes below).
It works plug & play, meaning no software installation or drivers are required. It is operating system independent and can also run independently within a network. For this, please use a stable 5V/1A power supply.
All settings are configured via a comprehensive yet intuitive web interface directly on the device. The settings are saved, so there is no need to reconfigure the device each time.
A plugin library is available and will continue to grow over time. Custom presets can also be created, saved, and imported  / exported.
A backup function allows you to save and restore all settings.
